The name JIBRIL might be familiar to many Malaysians, but the true origin story behind the restaurant’s name is so much more personal, emotional, and historic. The founders of JIBRIL were UiTM Law Students.In UiTM Law School, there’s an annual theatre event called UiTM Mock Trial, where the law students organise a theatre play to showcase how a legal case would play out in a court. In 2013, the Mock Trial is written and directed by Imran Sheik, and acted by Akmyr Ahmad Azwan. The Mock Trial in 2013 was called… you guessed it, JIBRIL. JIBRIL (Jibril Azym) is a story about a sophisticated autistic lawyer with an intelligent mind, where he can read minds and solve cases in unconventional ways. When we started the restaurant business in 2015, we envision this is the kind of restaurant where JIBRIL will hang out at. Sophisticated, unconventional, yet accessible. HALAL CERTIFIED
